Welcome to our first Virtual Open Day for Pre Kids

25 de Mayo, 2022

In April, some classes of Pre Kids took part in the first Virtual Open Day of the year. The objective of this activity was to share with parents the different kinds of tasks and activities teachers include in class and how students benefit from them greatly. Teachers and students used songs, chants, role-plays, games, and stories from the coursebook. Also, this was a great opportunity to show how other technological tools are included in class. Most importantly, they had a lot of fun! Many thanks to Sabrina Sayas, Angie Sanchez, Mary Peñaloza and Cristina Pariona for their enthusiasm and cooperation.

Sabrina Sayas – PK3 4:00 p.m. When I heard about the open day, I felt overwhelmed. Having both children and parents in the session was a lot to digest. However, after meeting with the studies coordinator, I felt at ease because she pointed out that the aim was to review what we had already done during the cycle and to have fun! That was the part that got me to relax. All the kids were excited and eager to share everything they had learnt in class. It was such a memorable experience for all of us! By the way, they loved the diplomas they received at the end. I’m looking forward to the next open day!!

Angie Sanchez – PK6 4:00 p.m. I had the opportunity to be part of the Open Day with my group of Pre-kids 06. I couldn’t be happier with the participation of my learners. They surpassed my expectations and they showed what they had learnt during the course with enjoyment and enthusiasm. I will certainly remember this special group.

Mary Peñaloza – PK5 3:00 p.m. What I really love about being a teacher is that it is a journey that never ends. Once again, I could experience that feeling when being invited to share this first virtual open day with my Pre-kids 5. It was such an incredible moment to see my pupils working so hard to show what they could do up to this level which involved not only the knowledge but also the virtual tools needed to carry on each activity. So proud of them!

Cristina Pariona – PK2 3:00 p.m. Interactive use of digital and printed books, Online Practice platform exercises, personally-designed Nearpod activities, YouTube supplementary videos, and the satisfaction of seeing kids learn by leaps and bounds in this new era of digital teaching is what happened on our Pre-kids 2 Open Day. My gratitude to my students and their parents for their enthusiastic participation. commitment and patience in this cycle. I wish you the best in your English learning path.
